On February 22, the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Yulin held the meeting on emancipating the mind, daring to explore, and racing to the top & meeting on strengthening and flourishing the industry. This is the first meeting in the new year, with the aim to commend role models, boost morale, inspire the people of Yulin to further emancipate the mind, carry out reform and innovation, expand opening-up, embrace responsibility with passion and work hard, and vigorously develop and flourish the industry, so as to promote the high-quality development of Yulin. At the meeting, Yuchai won the title of "Enterprise with Outstanding Contributions to the High-quality Economic Development of Yulin in 2020". Li Hanyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Yuchai Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech on strengthening and flourishing the industry.

       In 2020, in the face of epidemic prevention and control, complicated and severe economic situation at home and abroad, and other difficulties and challenges, Yuchai earnestly implemented the strategic decisions of the Party committees and the people's governments of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yulin City on resolutely winning the two battles of epidemic prevention and control and resumption of work and production. Based on the operating policy of "strengthening the style of work, promoting reform, stabilizing operation and pursuing development", Yuchai focused on "advancing stability on the six fronts and security in the six areas", made solid progress in deepening of reform, market expansion, project construction and Party building of state-owned enterprises, promoted the improvement of its business operating quality and benefits, and further accelerated the high-quality development. In 2020, Yuchai achieved accumulated sales revenue of RMB 45 billion, up nearly 10% year-on-year, hitting a record high, and sold 534,500 engines, up 15% year-on-year. It delivered brilliant results to the closing of the "13th Five-Year Plan" and laying a solid foundation for a good start of the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

       Since 2021, Yuchai has continued to implement the working policy of "emancipating the mind, carrying out reform and innovation, expanding opening-up, embracing responsibility with passion and working hard", and earnestly implemented the work plan of "fighting for the first quarter to open up new prospects". By planning in advance as early as possible, acting quickly, and exerting great efforts to race to the top, Yuchai has maintained its production and operation in a positive trend. In January 2021, Yuchai achieved sales revenues of RMB 5.066 billion, up 92.34% year-on-year, and sold 71,300 engines, up 106.63% year-on-year. So far, Yuchai, a core subsidiary of Yuchai Group, has received orders of 153,000 engines, up 200% year-on-year, hitting a record high. At present, all the employees of Yuchai are racing against time to ensure the progress and achieve high production, striving to ensure a good beginning in the first quarter.

       Li Hanyang said that Yuchai will fully implement the three-year actions for SOE reform and the improvement actions towards world-class management, firmly follow the work requirements of the governments of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yulin City of "strengthening leading industries, perfecting industrial chains and building clusters, as well as strengthening innovation, nurturing the brand and expanding the market", grasp the 4 major directions of focusing on structure optimization, accelerating transformation and upgrading, highlighting innovation-driven development and improving quality and efficiency in an all-round way, focus on the target tasks in order production, marketing, project construction and product R&D, center on the efficiency, strengthen the stock and optimize increment to ensure the realization of various budget targets in 2021, and strive to achieve Yuchai's "acceleration" on the path of high-quality development, so as to make new and greater contributions to the industry revitalization of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yulin City in the new era.
