On July 3, Yan Ping, Chairman of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai), and his senior management team visited Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. (DFLZM for short), and were warmly received by Xuan Ying, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Tang Jing, General Manager of DFLZM. In the presence of the leaders of both sides, Yuchai and DFLZM concluded an agreement on deepening strategic cooperation.

In the context of a new era and a new industrial structure, Yuchai and DFLZM further seek for deep integration and work hand in hand to foster new drivers for enterprise growth, build new core competitiveness in products and technologies and pursue market success, so as to build a community of commercial success. Both sides will work jointly on planning, development, manufacturing, promotion and services, and focus on their strategic transformation and higher goals, to make market breakthroughs in the nine provinces in South China through cooperation in five major sectors: business, R&D, marketing, aftermarket and manufacturing. Through alignment of vehicle models with engine models and corresponding control, both sides are committed to building pioneering commodity advantages.

It is reported that in 2020, DFLZM registered sales of commercial vehicles of over 10,000 for three consecutive months from April to June, and maintained a healthy trend toward stable growth. From January to June this year, Yuchai achieved a year-on-year growth of 55% in sales of Yuchai engines equipped for commercial vehicles of DFLZM, with more than half of the tasks accomplished in the first half of the year.
