On January 5, Zhuhai Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YCMP) made a good start in 2015 with a new order. It signed an order with Zhejiang Kaihang Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (Zhejiang Kaihang) for 2+2 6RT-flex58T-E engines, continuing its strong momentum in 2014.

The project involves 4000TEU container ships newly fabricated for Zhejiang Kaihang's own fleet--Taizhou Kaihang Shipping Co., Ltd. With an annual shipbuilding capacity of over 600,000 gross tons, Zhejiang Kaihang is Taizhou's only first-class Category-II shipyard.

Right after New Year's Day, Chen Jian, chairman of Zhejiang Kaihang, led a delegation to YCMP. After visiting YCMP's machining workshop, assembly & commissioning workshop and welding workshop, he spoke highly of YCMP's production capacity, technical level, quality control and after-sales service capacity, and undertook to forge a longstanding friendly strategic partnership with YCMP.
