The "marine engine service month" of Yuchai Group took place from May to June, 2013. Shen Jie, chief engineer of Yuchai Group, led a team to Guangxi's Beihai City and Guangdong's Bohe Town to visit ship owner customers, gaining great popularity.

To promote the effective and continuous development of fishery, Beihai practices a fishing moratorium of two months from May 16, every year. The Marine Department of Yuchai took the opportunity to carry out "marine engine service month" in Beihai in association with entities such as the sales department and the manufacturing plant. Shipyards and terminal customers were involved in the first leg of the visit. During communication, the ship owner customers and shipyard owners showed strong interest in YC6C and YC6L engines. YC6C marine engine was highly praised by the ship owners as an engine adapted to mainstream fishing vessels in Beihai.

Subsequently, Shen headed for Bohe Town, Dianbai County, Maoming City, Guangdong Province. As a fishery hub, the town has nearly 1,600 motor fishing vessels in all sizes. During visits to ship owners, Yuchai enumerated successful cases of YC6C use in regions like Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangxi, introducing large-power marine engines like YC6C and YC6CL. Most users spoke highly of YC6C and shared their experience of YC6C use. With the establishment of Yuchai's tier-2 marine engine distributors and professional service station in Bohe, ship owners said they have become more confident of Yuchai marine engines.
