From early July, 800 Chinese buses powered by Yuchai's YC6G and YC6L engines have successively departed from the port for Saudi Arabia. This is the largest order from the Saudi Arabian bus market this year. All these buses were powered by Yuchai.
Makkah Transport Company (MTC) is the first transport company which skipped bus plants to directly seek services from Yuchai in Saudi Arabia, as well as one of the three companies that can directly get school bus operation projects from the Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia. After learning that MTC needed over 800 buses, Rao Guoneng, director of Yuchai Saudi Arabia Office, kept close contact with the bus plants with the best chance of getting the order and maintained close communication with MTC's technical department, purchase department and other related departments. Eventually, due to the stability of Yuchai engines and the customer's recognition of Yuchai engines, required by the customer, all 800 buses in the order were powered by Yuchai engines.
