Yan Ping visits Nanning Base of Yuchai R & D Center

On August 10, Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., headed to the Nanning base of Yuchai R & D Center (YRDC) to survey project construction. Yan was accompanied by leaders of Yuchai Machinery including Party Secretary Ning Xingyong, Vice General Manager Liang Qingyan and Chief Engineer Lin Zhiqiang.

During the survey, Yan found out the progress of base construction, the OA system, base landscaping and showroom planning, and visited all workshops.

Lin reported on the construction of the Nanning base of Yuchai R & D Center. Phase 1 of the Nanning base involves the R & D building, test center, trial-manufacturing workshop, new energy workshop and utility system. Now all the works have drawn to an end, all workshops have come on stream successively, landscaping has wound up, installation and commissioning of the office, air-conditioning and monitoring system systems, showroom construction and VI design are underway. Phase 1 is expected to be completed before August 15.

On the scene of showroom construction, Yan noted that the base is Yuchai's window for external exchange, the showroom is an important place for demonstrating Yuchai's history, culture as well as R & D, manufacturing and marketing strength to the outside world, thus efforts must be made to flexibly showcase Yuchai's soft and hard strength by high-tech means such as informatization and automation, in both dynamic and static ways. Yuchai's dream is reflected in internationalization covering region, talent, concept, R & D and purchase. Yuchai's products must extend from high-speed engines to low-speed engines and from conventional energy to new energy.

After learning about the general situation of base construction, Yan acknowledged the progress of base construction and raising higher requirements to future construction. Members of the project team should continue making concerted efforts, check the construction of all works in Phase 1 and accelerate the tail-in work of base construction to create conditions for the base to come on stream and attendees of China-ASEAN Expo to visit the base, he said, adding that efforts should also be made to monitor construction quality to complete all works perfectly.
