The Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province (ASTD) has recently entrusted the Wuhu Science and Technology Bureau (WSTB) to hold an appraisal meeting for Y & C Engine's new product--YC6K13N NG engine in Wuhu. Experts present heard a report by the project team, reviewed relevant materials, and inspected the prototype and production scene. Upon inquiry and discussion, the appraisal committee agreed that YC6K13N NG engine should pass Anhui's new product appraisal.

Entrusted by ASTD, Zhu Shoufa, director-general of WSTB, presided over the meeting. Seven experts at teaching, research and production made up the appraisal committee, including Zuo Chengji and Sun Jun, professors of Hefei University of Technology; Liang Huaping, president of the Anhui Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Gao Hong, professor of Anhui Polytechnic University. Present were key leaders of WSTB and the Science and Technology Bureau of Sanshan District.

The leaders and experts visited the workshop of Y & C Engine before the meeting, carefully viewing the prototype and hearing the company's development report and product technology introduction. Finally, the experts agreed that YC6K13N NG engine should be accredited as Anhui's new product and YC6K13N should be China's first successfully developed six-cylinder 13L (YC6K13N) NG large-power engine which can meet the needs of the heavy-duty truck market and the coach market. The product features independently developed technologies such as ESI gas injection system, high-efficiency in-cylinder brake and reverse cross-flow cooling, integrates advanced technologies such as four-valve overhead camshaft, intelligent gas supply, lean combustion and turbocharging with inter-cooling, has obtained many national patents and is up to domestic leading standards. Upon test by the National Automobile Quality Supervision and Test Center (Xiangyang), the prototype's indicators such as exhaust contaminant and crankcase contaminant were all up to the corresponding national standards. After using the engine, customers in areas like Shaoguan, Guangdong and Shangyu, Zhejiang universally reported that the engine is stable, powerful, environment-friendly and reliable.
