They combine a lot of internationally advanced technologies, have features such as high reliability, strong power, low energy consumption and superior performance, own independent intellectual property rights, and are highly competitive in the market. Their power ranges from 70kW to 530kW, covering the 8-28m high-speed boat market. The launch marks Yuchai has formed a relatively complete product spectrum in the field of high-speed marine engine.

According to sources, the seven high-speed boat engines combine a lot of internationally advanced technologies, have features such as high reliability, strong power, low energy consumption and superior performance, own independent intellectual property rights, and are highly competitive in the market. Their power ranges from 70kW to 530kW, covering the 8-28m high-speed boat market. The launch marks Yuchai has formed a relatively complete product spectrum in the field of high-speed marine engine. Of these engines, with a displacement of 2.66L, a power of 70kW to 90kW and a rotation speed of 2,800 rpm to 3,200 rpm, YC4F diesel engine series suits official vessels and yachts of 8m to 10m. Based on YC4D vehicle engine platform, with a displacement of 4.214L, a power of 103kW to 120kW and a rotation speed of 2,800 rpm to 3,000 rpm, YC4D diesel engine series suits official vessels and yachts of 10m to 13m. With a displacement of 7.255L, a power of 192kW to 250kW and a rotation speed of 2,200 rpm to 2,600 rpm, YC6A diesel engine series suits working boats and yachts of 11m to 16m. Featuring an electronically controlled high pressure common rail fuel system, with a displacement of 8.42L, a power of 220kW to 258kW and a rotation speed of 2,100 rpm to 2,300 rpm, YC6L diesel engine series suits working boats and yachts of 15m to 17m. Featuring an electronically controlled high pressure common rail fuel system, with a displacement of 10.338L, a power of 235kW to 283kW and a rotation speed of 1,800 rpm to 2,100 rpm, YC6MK diesel engine series suits working boats and yachts of 16m to 20m. With a displacement of 11.72L, a power of 300kW to 368kW and a rotation speed of 1,800 rpm to 2,100 rpm, YC6MJ diesel engine series suits working boats and yachts of 17m to 21m. With a displacement of 16.35L, a power of 441kW to 530kW and a rotation speed of 1,800 rpm to 2,100 rpm, YC6T diesel engine series suits working boats and yachts of 21m to 28m.

As the nation's action of safeguarding maritime rights and interests becomes increasingly urgent, the ship market has become a focus of attention. At the same time, with economic development and the increase in living standards, segments of the high-speed boat market such as official vessel and yacht are taking on an increasing broad outlook. While developing and expanding its vehicle engine sector, Yuchai is marching towards the marine engine market by its outstanding and leading advantages, and is taking enlarging the marine engine sector as one of its major development strategies as soon as possible. In recent years, to rapidly develop the marine engine market, Yuchai has invested mass resources to build fine marine engines, thus substantially increasing its marine engine sales from over 6,500 units in 2009 to over 25,000 units in 2012 and boosting its market share and influence. Yuchai has built production bases in Zhuhai of Guangdong and Ziyang of Sichuan, developed the strong capability to manufacture low-speed, medium-speed and high-speed engines, formed a complete product chain, and been able to meet matching demands of various vessels such as lake vessel, inland vessel, coastal vessel and ocean-going vessel in terms of power range. Yuchai's products have been recognized by several members of the International Association of Classification Societies including CCS, met the performance requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), been up to advanced international technical standards and passed ship inspection certifications like ZC and ZY.

Present at the launch ceremony were over 80 leaders and guests from entities nationwide including waterway administrations, maritime safety administrations, ship design institute, shipyards, customers and Yuchai's marine engine distributors including Huang Haiming, Party secretary of the Liuzhou Waterway Administration; Chen Neng, deputy director-general of the Wuzhou Ship Inspection Bureau; Huang Lingyong, chief of the Vessel Inspection Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Wang Laide, chief of the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration and Zhang Youjun, chairman of Hunan Taohuajiang Yacht Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; as well as General Manager Wu Qiwei and Deputy General Manager Zhong Yuwei and Wang Limin of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., and Shen Jie, chief engineer of Yuchai Group and senior technical advisor to chairman of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd.
