On October 16, Yuchai delegation which has launched recruitment at Hunan University (HNU) held a symposium with the university on talent training cooperation. Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery) and Liu Jinshui, vice president of HNU jointly presided over the symposium. Among attendees were Lin Zhiqiang, chief engineer of Yuchai Machinery and Wang Wenge, Party secretary of HNU College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering (HNU MVE).

HNU is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, a key university under the country's "Program 211" and "Program 985", as well as a point of fixed vehicle engineering master training for Yuchai.

Wu introduced Yuchai's business performance in the first nine months of 2013 as well as its industrial layout and research strength, Yuchai's products have spread all over the country and gone out of Guangxi to the world, and Yuchai has carried out research cooperation with superior disciplines of many universities, he said, hoping that Yuchai and HNU will deepen cooperation in the future.

Wang introduced the history, faculty and student number of HNU MVE.

The two sides exchanged ideas on issues such as CAE talent training, outstanding engineer training and talent training cooperation, and reached the initial intent of cooperation.

According to sources, to support more outstanding students, Yuchai will set up a scholarship at HNU, earmarking 500,000 yuan in three years for majors in internal combustion engine, vehicle engineering and machinery. To better promote students to learn new engine technologies, Yuchai has also decided to provide a national IV diesel engine to HNU for teaching purpose.

In the night, Yuchai's recruitment team made a recruitment presentation at HNU. As an alumnus of HNU, Wu introduced Yuchai's general information, research strength, talent training mechanism and "twelfth five-year" plan to the students present, sincerely inviting them to join Yuchai for a stage of growth.

The presentation attracted a large audience with the classroom accommodating 250 people fully packed. Yuchai's rapid development and talent training system aroused the interest of the students present. They had in-depth communication and interaction with the speakers in regard to their concerns like Yuchai's development outlook, situation of its branches and personal career development.
