According to sources from the Science & Technology Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on September 28, the department has organized experts in relevant fields to accredit the second group of innovative enterprises in Guangxi based on the arrangements of the Plan for Implementation of Technical Innovation Projects in Guangxi and the Trial Implementation Plan for Pilot Practice of Innovative Enterprises in Guangxi, in accordance with the relevant standards of the Trial Evaluation Indicator System of Innovative Enterprises in Guangxi. As a result, Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) was listed among the second group of innovative enterprises in Guangxi.

YHI was listed among the second group of pilot innovative enterprises in Guangxi in 2010, and has been accredited as an innovative enterprise after two years cultivation. Innovative enterprises will draw more policy and financial support from the autonomous regions in such aspects as science and technology programs, innovation base construction and innovative talent team building.

From 2010-2012, YHI intensified product R & D and technical research planning through measures including strengthening R & D capacity building, increasing R & D input, training innovative talents and perfecting innovation mechanism, made remarkable innovation achievements in such aspects as new product development, technical research, research finding transformation, intellectual property advancement and technological improvement, accumulated rich experience, promoted the vigorous development of all business sectors, perfected Yuchais construction machinery series, enhanced YHIs brand image, further improved its capacity for independent innovation, and sharpened its domestic and international competitiveness.
