On September 25, China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition 2012 (CIAME 2012) opened at Shenyang International Exhibition Center. Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) appeared with eight National III and IV models covering seven series--YC6A, YC4A, YC6B, YC6J, YC4BJ, YC4S and YC4D, and three sectors--combine, tractor and agricultural machinery.

The exhibition brought together a total of over 1,700 agricultural machinery manufacturers and parts suppliers. Yuchais exhibition area measures 120 square meters. The elegant booth layout, the exquisite and advanced models attracted a host of machinery manufacturers, distributors and agricultural machinery users, stealing the show in the section of internal combustion engine.

Foreign customers inquire into Yuchai products

To accommodate the uptrend of power ranges of major models of rice combines, corn combines and tractors, Yuchai has introduced new models including YC4D120L, YC4A140L and YC4A120L, attracting groups of staff of domestic machinery manufacturers to inquire into engine problems including property parameters. Foreign management staff of foreign-invested enterprises, including AGCO, Deutz Fahr, Qingdao LS and Yancheng Mahindra, showed strong interest in tractor-specific models, too. Several customers expressed cooperation intents on the spot. After comparing Yuchais products and quotations with those of other companies, the general manager of a Hunan-based company made technical and business communication at Yuchai booth, and decided to choose Yuchai engine as the power for a 100hp self-propelled rotary tiller.

After years efforts, YM has established a high-profile brand image of high quality, low fuel consumption and good service in the agricultural machinery industry. All Yuchai models on show were charging or inter-cooling diesel engines. Within only five or six years since entering the field of tractor matching, Yuchai has cultivated high-end customers and driven low-end customers through machinery manufacturer platforms including Foton and Changzhou Dongfeng, thus progressively changing the preference of agricultural machinery manufacturers for naturally aspirated engines and making Yuchai charging engines the top priority of a growing number of customers. According to statistics, the number of tractor manufacturers to which Yuchai supplied over 100 units of engines has increased from 10 last year to 13 in the first nine months of this year, Yuchai sold nearly 10,000 units of tractor-specific engines in the first eight months of this year, and the sales of Yuchai tractor-specific diesel engines were up 8.2 percent year on year amid a fall of 7.3 percent in the number of 70hp large-power tractors installed.

The display on September 25 and 26 has highlighted Yuchais brand image of Outstanding Power, Yuchai International, consolidating the foundation for the further development of Yuchais agricultural machinery market.
