On November 3, the 2012 Forum on Development of Chinese Leading Industrial Enterprises, organized by China Industry News, took place in Beijing. Guo Deming, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group, was invited to attend. The forum focused on the current situation and trend of industrial economic development and the topic on how leading industrial enterprises seize opportunities to advance transformation and upgrading. Meanwhile, the enterprises listed among Chinese Leading Industrial Enterprises were awarded, and Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) ranked among the Leading Internal Combustion Engine and Parts Manufacturers in 2012.

For many years, YM has pioneered the trend of industrial development by its tremendous research strength, has been up to advanced international standards in terms of combustion development technology, low-emission development technology and machinery development technology, and has filled the gaps of Chinas auto engine technologies in multiple fields. Technical innovation has promoted Yuchais sustainable development. In 2012, whether the three independently developed high-speed large-power marine diesel engines for power generation integrating the advanced technologies of the worlds four famous renowned internal combustion engine research institutes, or Chinas first engine tailored to the special needs of school buses have shown Yuchais level of engine manufacturing and strength of innovation and R & D. In late 2012, Yuchai will release plug-in hybrid engines to pioneer the new technical upgrading of the industry and occupy the highland of new energy engines.

The release of Chinese Leading Industrial Enterprises is an annual event aimed to promote leading industrial enterprises to accelerate independent innovation, sharpen core competition and enlarge popularity. Under the principle of preciseness, science and fairness, in reference with the national standards for the Classification of National Economic Industries, according to the international practice, based on authorities statistics, the list of Chinese Leading Industrial Enterprises in 2012 was unveiled and published on the website of China Industry News, and 519 industrial leading enterprises were finalized as Chinese Leading Industrial Enterprises in 2012. YM has claimed honor for consecutive years, playing a positive model role in the independent innovation and development of the engine industry.
