Recently, Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YCMP) signed a supply contract for two RT-flex58TD engines with Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipping Building Group. The model is characterized by compactness, easy maintenance, low fuel consumption, economy and environmental friendliness. The two engines will power two Yangzijiang-fabricated 64000dwt bulk carriers.

By October, YCMP has got orders for four series including Wartsila X35, X40, RT-flex48 and RT-flex58, of which X35 and X40 are Wartsilas newly-developed small-cylinder-bore and long-stroke full electrically-controlled common rail models. Both models are the first of their kind in the world.
