On November 13, the Fifth Yuchai-Bosch Summit Forum took place in Chengdu. The high-level leaders of both sides had in-depth discussions and exchanges under the theme of Take CN4 Challenge, Go for Common Success. Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group and Ketteler Hanns Bern, president of the Commercial Vehicle Department, Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. were present.

At the forum, Wang Weiliang, general manager of Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. and Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. delivered speeches. They extended warm welcome to all leaders present, fully acknowledged the importance of Yuchai-Bosch exchanges and cooperation in the global commercial vehicle field, and hoped to take this opportunity to build an high-efficiency and harmonious communication channel and impel both sides to ascend to new stages.

In the speech, Wang noted, the growth of Chinas economy has slowed down gradually this year. Amid the slowdown, the Chinese commercial vehicle market has further maintained the declining tendency in 2011. With the compulsory implementation of CN4 emission standards in July 2012, Yuchai and Wuxi Bosch will face unprecedented new challenges. Yuchai and Bosch are both technically leading enterprises, common rail and SCR are the main routes of the implementation of CN4 emission standards, the implementation has undoubtedly opened a door for both sides, and Yuchai hoped to gain the development initiative to achieve win-win as Boschs largest commercial vehicle customer and strategic partner in China.

Wu reviewed the cooperation between the two sides over the year, and dissected the severe market situation next year in light of Yuchais actualities. The two sides have taken the first substantial step in software cooperation and development in 2012, Yuchai will further expand its capacity for independent innovation, continue to maintain and extend Yuchais lead in product technologies to adjust to ever-changing market demands. On the issue of CN4 switch, Yuchai will make all-out efforts to advance under the guidance of the coping strategy for the implementation of CN4 emission standards, hoping Bosch will continue to support Yuchai in technical development, quality and after service network, to develop broader markets in cooperation with Yuchai and achieve mutual benefit and win-win.

During the forum, Wang Limin, acting deputy general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd.; Qian Shijie, director of the Commercial Vehicle Sales Department of Bosch; Zhong Yuwei, deputy general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd.; Bub Stefan, director of the Quality Department of Bosch; Mao Yiping, director of the Customer Service Department of Bosch; and Tan Guirong, assistant to general manager and chief quality assurance engineer of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. delivered impressive reports on business sectors including market sale, quality and customer service. Also, the two sides made extensive exchanges and reached consensus on a chain of issues including business cooperation and market development.
