Recently, the YC230LC-8 hydraulic excavator of Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) moved into central Xinjiang to support Xinjiangs river course dredging project, thereby benefiting locals.

Tianshan Mountain stretches across central Xinjiang with enchanting charm and rich resources, but is snow-capped all the year around. Whenever spring comes, if river courses are not broadened in time, melt snow from Tianshan Mountain is likely to submerge villages and farmland. Global warming has led to grave snow melt in recent years, and the people at the foot of the snow-capped mountain were worried. Thus, river course dredging has been placed on the agenda this year. YHIs YC230LC-8 hydraulic excavator gained trust and praise from customers by stable performance and high working efficiency, and was selected from numerous competitors products for the river course dredging project.

The river course dredging project started in late September and is expected to wrap up before the end of this year. The high altitude, complex geographical environment and acid climate of Tianshan Mountain has considerably impeded construction, but YC230 LC-8 overcame tough conditions by its high efficiency and reliability, worked continuously and accelerated progress with high performance, and eliminated the potential hazard of floods for locals. To this, residents in Qixing Village said, If the river course fails to be restored before the winter, the fellow villagers here will suffer once the snow mountain melts next year, but we are relieved to see the repair progressing rapidly.
