Recently, the National Torch High-tech Industry Development Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology has unveiled the evaluation results of the key high-tech enterprises under the National Torch Program for 2012. Five enterprises from Guangxi made the list and Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) was among them. To date, a total of 18 enterprises from Guangxi have been accredited as key high-tech enterprises.

YHI always takes technological innovation as the primary impetus for corporate development, and steps up technological innovation through the platforms for product innovation, technical innovation and management innovation. YHI has won 198 national patents, and undertaken major technological projects including several projects under the national key new product program and Guangxis scientific research and technical development program. Also, YHI has worked with an array of renowned domestic research institutions to conquer various technical barriers and make a succession of research achievements.
