This year is the second year of Chinas implementing the objective of agricultural mechanization in the twelfth five-year period. Under the influence of the favorable domestic agricultural machinery subsidy policy, the corn combine market has taken on a trend of high-profile development this year, farmers have been actively purchasing and using agricultural machinery, and Chinas corn combine industry has entered a new stage of fast growth. According to sources, Chinas rate of mechanical corn picking and rate of mechanical wheat picking have been nearly 40 percent and over 90 percent this year, and the increase in mechanical operation efficiency has created conditions for yield increase. In the harvest season this year, all major agricultural machinery manufacturers have seen their sales boom, and Yuchais corn combine engine sales have grown by some 31 percent amid the situation.

A Yuchai-powered combine is harvesting corn

To further expand its corn combine engine market, Yuchai Customer Service Center put autumn corn harvesting service in an important place. Since early August, the center has formulated an early work plan for autumn harvesting service, requiring all offices and service stations to make preparations for the autumn harvest, including carrying out pre-harvest maintenance activities, conducting publicity earlier and adding staff to the service stations in key harvesting areas. In parts storage, the center duly communicated with the headquarters and branches of Yuchai Machinery Monopoly Development Co., Ltd. (YMMD) for parts storage. In case of parts shortage in some areas during the harvest, the center and YMMD launched emergency measures to supply parts swiftly to ensure the smoothness of follow-up autumn harvesting services.

Yuchai YC6B160 engine has been well received in the market. During National Day, a Tianjin Yongmeng combine carrying YC6B engine lost power. The resident technicians of Jilin service station and office found the failure was not caused by an engine fault, but still solved the problem for the customer. The customer was grateful and said, I purchased two Yongmeng combines this year and will purchase two or three more next year. I like Yuchai-powered machinery, as they are good and well warranted. Yuchai YC6B engine is the main force of corn harvesting in regions like the three northeastern provinces and Xinjiang. YC4A125-powered three-row corn combines also hold a larger share in the Central Plains and enjoy great popularity among customers. Yuchais strategic partner Foton Lovol has more than doubled its sales this year, playing a leading role in the three-row corn segment. Additionally, the YC4A140-powered machinery of Ferguson, Rekon and Juming has passed market tests and been recognized by customers owing to their stable quality in the autumn harvest of this year, laying the groundwork for their development in the agricultural machinery market next year.
