On December 28, Lyu Yubo, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and secretary of the Disciplinary Inspection Commission of Yulin, on behalf of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and the Yulin Municipal Government, visited Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YCMP), seeing its employees.

Jiang Shihong, chairman of YCMP, showed Lyu around the companys machining and assembling & commissioning workshops and terminal. At the machining workshop, Jiang introduced the newly introduced advanced equipment including plane boring and milling machine. At the assembling & commissioning workshop, Lyu focused on the worlds first W6X40 low-speed common-rail diesel engine under test.

At the subsequent seminar, Chen introduced YCMPs development, construction and production. When learning YCMP has been fastest in going into production in the global low-speed engine industry and manufactured the worlds first W6X35, W7X35 and W6X40 engines, Lyu said he had never expected Yuchai to create quality products with such high speed through painstaking efforts, to gain such high recognition from local governments, and to develop so fast and start with the world during its outward development.

Lyu acknowledged the project investment of Yuchai Group in Zhuhai, saying the high speed and quality displayed by YCMP has demonstrated the painstaking efforts, toughness and innovativeness of Yuchais employees, winning credit to Yulin and Yuchai. Yuchais development represents the development of the national industry and the municipal committee will continue to pay attention to and support Yuchais development, he added.

Referring to YCMPs development, Lyu hoped that the company would value technical innovation to sharpen technical competitiveness; would value open cooperation to sharpen market competitiveness; and would carry forward Yuchais spirit to sharpen corporate cultural competitiveness.

This is the first time of leaders of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee to visit YCMP. Employees were moved. The attention and support of the municipal committee and the municipal government has consolidated our confidence and mettle. We assure you that we are confident of growing constantly through the development and follow-up planning of low & medium-speed engines, and spending a decade building the first ship engine brand.

Accompanying Lyu were leaders including Huang Liquan, deputy director-general of the Yulin Supervisory Bureau and Guo Deming, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group.
