At the very beginning of the New Year, 15 Dongfeng Yangtse WG6120NHM buses powered by YC6G260N-30 LNG engines were delivered to Thailand, marking the entry of Yuchai new energy engines into Bangkok in 2013.
These buses have recently undergone inspections in succession and will run on No. 30 bus lines linking the Don Muang Airport to South Bus Terminal in Bangkok. The arrival of these buses marks a new victory of Yuchai in the Thai pubic transport market, concerning the position of Yuchai gas engines in Bangkok's 12m bus field and whether Yuchai will gain a permanent foothold in Thailand.
Since late 2011, affected by the emission regulation upgrade by the Thai government and the sustained depression of public transport projects in Bangkok, the exports of Chinese buses to Thailand has been stagnant. In recent years, China's key engine manufacturers have scrambled to move into Thailand successively to vigorously promote their LNG engines amid intense competition. Facing the challenge, based on the actual need of Thai customers, Yuchai developed stable ECI fuel system, perfected its after service system, preferentially cultivated local service engines and gained recognition from Thai customers by good service techniques and stable products.
