Recently, the "'Discover China Creativity' Summit Strategic Seminar & 2012 China Creativity Award Ceremony" has taken place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The event was organized by over ten media outlets under the Xinhua News Agency, including Economic Information, xinhuanet.com, Xinhua Daily Telegraph, Reference News and China Securities Journal. The 2012 China Creativity List was unveiled. Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. won the "2012 China Creative Technology Award".

Yuchai has always concentrated on green power R & D, made great efforts in technical innovation and achieved sustainable development through the breakthrough in green power technology. In green power R & D, Yuchai has kept ahead in China by its engine emission control technology, has established three R & D technology platforms including the core technical platform for diesel engine structure design, the clean and high-efficiency diesel engine combustion development platform, and the technical platform for development, application, matching and calibration of electronic control technology of diesel engines, and has been synchronizing China's engine industry with international engine R & D.

Guo Deming, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group, interpreted the essence of creativity on behalf Yuchai: to be truly creative, an enterprise must have a creative culture and form creativity by culture. Only supported by culture, will creativity sustain and will an enterprise survive longer and walk farther.

Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, won the "2012 China Creative Business Leader Award".

Also presented were awards including China Creative Product, China Creative Management Idea, China Creative Intangible Champion and China Corporate Citizen Creator. The event wrapped up in the "declaration for action on inspiring the creativity of Chinese enterprises" made by the organizers and representatives of outstanding creative enterprises.
