On March 19, 2014 Construction Machinery Product Development (Beijing) Forum and TOP50 Product of The Year of China Construction Machinery award ceremony was held in Beijing. The YC60-8 hydraulic excavator and YCR260 rotary drilling rig produced by Yuchai Heavy Industry won TOP50 Product of The Year (2014) Award of China Construction Machinery.

The YC60-8 hydraulic excavator and YCR260 rotary drilling rig developed by Yuchai Heavy Industry feature reasonable product structure and own several patents for invention and utility models, with their technical performance indexes not only conforming to relevant provisions of the State, industry safety, and environmental protection, but also reach the advanced level of the like products in China. In the three core standards, namely technical innovation, market performance, and application contribution, set by the expert group, the two products of Yuchai finally stood out from the competition with hundreds of rival products of overseas, JV, and domestic brands, and won the award.
