On March 24, the 7th Member Congress of the Labor Union of Yuchai Group took place at Yuchai Culture Center. 431 delegates were present, including 168 women delegates. By vote, the delegates elected the 7th Committee, Audit Committee and Women Worker Committee of the Labor Union of Yuchai Group.

Leaders like Lu Daodong, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and vice chairman of the Yulin Federation of Trade Unions and Yan Ping, chairman and Party secretary of Yuchai Group were present and delivered speeches. Guo Deming, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group, presided over the congress.

At the congress, Lu extended congratulations on the congress, praised and thanked Yuchai for its remarkable contributions to Yulin's economic development and the Labor Union of Yuchai Group for its efforts. He hoped that the union would continue leading all staff to assume heavy duties boldly and work hard to promote corporate transformation, upgrading and leap.

Yan delivered an important speech at the congress. He spoke highly of the contributions of the group's previous labor unions to corporate and staff development, raising new requirements to the labor union and its cadres based on the spirit of the NPC and CPPCC annual sessions. He said, union cadres should be less bureaucratic and closer to staff, the labor union should consciously subject itself to the Party committee's leadership and strive for administrative support; union cadres should be good-natured, laborious and thick-skinned, should carry out distinctive and innovative work centering around corporate production and operation, pay attention to improving the staff's livelihood and safeguard their lawful rights and interests, and the labor union should become an organization truly supported and respected by the staff.

Li Chengjie delivered a work report to the congress on behalf of the Labor Union of Yuchai Group. The report summarized the key experience accumulated since the 6th congress, and set the union's work target and task in the coming five years. The report noted, since the 6th congress, the corporate labor union has focused on the company's production and operation objectives, kept the staff together and mobilized them to be devoted to corporate development, made great contributions to the company's rapid development and the stabilization of the staff team, and won a collection of national awards such as "National Model Enterprises for Harmonious Labor Relations", National Model Worker Family" and "National May 1 Labor Certificate".

The report noted, in the coming five years, with a focus on group production and operation, the labor union will boost the "second startup", promote transformation and upgrading, arouse the staff's work enthusiasm, stabilize the staff team and contribute to the enterprise's prolonged stability. The union's tasks over the next five years include: I Implementing the quality improvement project to build a creative labor group; II Deepening the activity of innovation and benefit creation to promote the "second startup" of the group; III Innovating democratic consultation management to build harmonious labor relations; IV Offering all-round full-course service support to arouse the staff's work enthusiasm; V Deepening the heroine contribution action to give play to the role of female staff; VI Strengthening internal construction to build a vigorous new labor union.

At the congress, Huang Bojiang and Liang Kunqing delivered a financial work report and an audit work report on behalf of the 6th Committee of the Labor Union of Yuchai Group respectively.

Upon voting, 15 candidates including Li Chengjie, Huang Bojiang, Chen Xinghua, Tang Hui, Chen Chunmei, He Liyu, Liu Jianhua, Yan Li, Huang Xianzhong, Tan Lin, Huang Zejun, Huang Yi, He Weiliang, Liang Kunqing and Pang Xianghua were elected to the 7th Committee of the Labor Union; five candidates including Liang Kunqing, Wu Qin, Ma Rongyong, Yan Mincai and Xie Yanmei were elected to the Audit Committee of the Labor Union; and 11 candidates including Chen Xinghua, Chen Chunmei, Wu Dong, Li Caijuan, Wen Hu, Pang Weilian, Chen Li, Tu Jianping, Wen Yuxin, Zhang Xiaodan and Tang Lin were elected to the Women Worker Committee of the Labor Union.
