On March 31, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery) held 2014 Lean Improvement Project Launch Conference at the Foundry, unveiling the Foundry's lean improvement projects and determining the Foundry as the first leg of the company's all-round improvement project in 2014.

After a survey lasting over three months, the lean survey group led by the manufacturing director Ichiho Yamada spotted a series of problems of the Foundry needing improving and fixed the 16 improvement projects at the fourth level of the Foundry, with the aim of greatly increasing the utilization rate of the Foundry's production line, reducing the reject ratio, enhancing the system, and improving product quality and production capacity.

Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery, attaches great importance to the company's lean improvement work. He spoke highly of the survey group's efforts over the three months, hoping that the Foundry will made a good beginning in the company's all-round lean improvement project in 2014 to set a good example to other units, thus contributing to the company's objective of "making production efficiency up to world top standards in three years".
