On April 10, Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YMP) signed a "2+1" 5RT-flex58T-D diesel engine order with Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Ltd. (Yangzijiang Shipbuilding). These diesel engines will power 64,000DWT bulk carriers.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding is a Chinese leading private shipyard, a key world-famous shipyard as well as a company listed in Singapore. The order's signing shows YMP is marching towards the strategic goal of becoming a Chinese first-class shipyard.

Accompanied by Chairman and General Manager Jiang Shihong and other leaders of YMP, General Manager Wang Jiansheng and Vice General Manager Wang Dong of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding visited the machining workshop, the assembly & commissioning workshop and the welding workshop. The visitors fully recognized YMP's production capacity, technical level and product quality, and undertake to forge a longstanding friendly strategic partnership with YMP.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has placed an order with YMP for two same diesel engines before which will be delivered in April and May 2014 respectively.
