On April 15, the opening day of the 115th Canton Fair, a party led by Ma Jixian, head of the Guangxi trading delegation and deputy director of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, visited Yuchai's booth. Leaders including Ning Xingyong, Party secretary of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery) and Tang Zuoxing, general manager of the Marine Engine Department of Yuchai Machinery, warmly received the visitors.

Ma viewed Yuchai's engines on show and listened to the introduction carefully. He showed strong interest in the new product YC6TD, inquired into its features, technical advantages and key target markets, and spoke highly of Yuchai's capacity for technical innovation.

Ning introduced the sales situation of Yuchai Machinery at home and abroad. In 2013, Yuchai Machinery achieved cumulative sales of over 500,000 units as the first multi-cylinder diesel engine manufacturer in the industry to bring its sales back to 500,000 units. Its year-on-year sales growth was far above the average level of the industry and its market share increased 1 percent more on the basis of an increase of 3 percent in 2012. Abroad, by developing the Eastern Europe and South American markets, building new market platforms and perfecting the construction of the parts and service network system, Yuchai Machinery's engine exports were up over 40 percent year on year against China's flat export growth.

Canton Fair is a general international trade event with a history of 57 years, Ning said, adding Yuchai should make full use of the global market platform of Canton Fair to demonstrate its brand image and further expand its overseas market and service network.

Ma acclaimed Yuchai's achievements, saying the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region fully supports export enterprises to go out by subsidizing participation in foreign exhibitions and rewarding export, and will organize enterprises for foreign exhibitions such as the Hungarian exhibition in June and the 4th China-Eurasia Expo in September.

Ma hoped that Yuchai would constantly enhance its international competitiveness through technical innovation and strengthen and enlarge its overseas market, pledging that the department of commerce will offer strong support.
