On April 29, the 2nd Enlarged Meeting of the 1st Council of the China Council for the Band Development (CCBD) was held in Beijing. Among nearly 220 attendees were leaders of related ministries and commissions such as the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the China National Institute of Standardization, the Department of Development Planning of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Bureau of General Affairs of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Department of Industrial Products and Consumer Goods, the National Energy Bureau and the State Administration of Work Safety, as well as representatives of business members. Lu Houlin, director-general of the Guangxi Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. were invited as a council member and a business representative from Guangxi respectively.

At the meeting, Liu Pingjun, chairman of CCBD, noted that CCBD would help China acquire the rights of domination and speech in international brand evaluation, enhance Chinese brands and fulfill the strategy of prospering the country by brands, laying a solid foundation for implementing the policy of "technology, brand, quality and service" proposed at the 18th CPC National Congress.

As one of the few representative enterprises from Guangxi, Yuchai has given play to its local advantage and industrial advantage in brand building. At the meeting, Yuchai introduced information such as quality engineer qualification training, qualification examination sign-up and quality technology patent, and conveyed Yuchai's spirit of persisting in internationalization and prospering the enterprise by brand to the attending enterprises.
