On May 27, Duan Junhu, a deputy-director-level researcher of the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and Song Shaogang, chief of the Division of Characteristic Industry Base of the Center led a characteristic industry base investigation group to Yuchai.

At the meeting room on the fourth floor of Power Building, Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and Zhou Sunhai, vice president of Yuchai Group introduced the group's development history and prospect, hoping that Yuchai's future construction will be planned better on the basis of the center's characteristic industry base platform and that the center will offer guidance and help.

Duan introduced the enthusiasm of east China's developed regions about applying for construction of the center's industrial bases and their achievements in base construction.

Also, the delegation visited places such as the Test Center and Nanning Base of Yuchai R & D Center, the foundry center and the heavy engine processing workshop.
