From May 12 to 17, a delegation led by Ning Xingyong, Party secretary of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd.; Tang Zuoxing, general manager of the Marine Engine Department of Yuchai Machinery and Huang Yongzhong, vice general manager of Yuchai Machinery headed to Indonesia for a survey of the Indonesian marine power market.
PT. Semeru Teknik(ST) is Yuchai's core marine power distributor in Indonesia. ST Chairman Zhong Jianhua elaborated on the company's business operation, sales and use of Yuchai products, performance of Yuchai products in Indonesia, etc.
Ning was satisfied with ST's efforts in developing Yuchai's Indonesian market, spoke highly of ST's results, hoped that ST would renew efforts and strengthen market development and after-sales service through more specialized management to make Yuchai's marine power products more influential and competitive in Indonesia, thus achieving the win-win of Yuchai and ST. Tang summarized Indonesia's segments such as tugboat, fishing vessel, sand pump vessel and ro-ro vessel, shared Yuchai's detailed market plan and objective specific to the Indonesian marine power market, and gave instruction in ST's distribution work.
Ning also visited Indonesian shipyards, Indonesian shipping companies and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia to promote Yuchai's marine power products.

For a better knowledge of the Indonesia marine engine market and use of Yuchai products in Indonesia, the delegation led by Ning conducted a market and product survey in East Kalimantan, and participated in the maiden trial voyage of the tugboat powered by "Yuchai Marine III".
With two YC6C730L-C20 units as main engines and two YC4108C units as auxiliary engines, "Yuchai Marine III" tugboat was fabricated according to international standards, is used to tug 3,000t mineral cabins on rivers and seas, and will sail on the Mahakam River and offshore in East Kalimantan.
The tugboat succeeded in its maiden trial voyage with outstanding performance. It was unanimously recognized by local shipyards and ship owners for its strong power, low fuel consumption, good smoke and high cost performance compared to Japanese products. Following the trial voyage, a Chinese ship owner decided to replace the main and auxiliary engines of his two ships under fabrication with Yuchai engines on the spot.
