On July 22, the launch conference of "Excellence Action--Yuchai Training System Building Program" was held at Power Building. Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery) planned to establish a complete set of talent training systems in three years to accomplish endogenous talent training.
Present were Chairman Yan Ping, General Manager Wu Qiwei and other leaders of Yuchai Machinery. The chief consultant Lan Min introduced the training system building program at the conference. Ye Bin, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Machinery, presided over the conference.
Yuchai Training System Building Program was named "Excellence" based on solicited names. According to the plan, Yuchai Training System will be up to the standards of Dongfeng's or Honda's vehicle plants in terms of specialization, systematicness and advancement, and the training will strive to be a model in the engine industry.
At the conference, Yan noted the building of Yuchai Training System will focus on improving the management level of Yuchai Machinery, serving the transformation and upgrading of the "second startup", consolidating the competitiveness of Yuchai Machinery and ensuring that Yuchai Machinery maintains its market competitiveness in the coming decade. A set of complete, scientific and practical training systems adapting to Yuchai's development and linked to performance, career and position should be established. As part of the corporate strategy, training system building should be incorporated into talent system building. This is also an important link of opening up the channel of career development.
Yan required that leading cadres must change ideas and enhance responsibilities in order to smoothly advance training system building. The leading group of Yuchai Machinery should assume the responsibility of implementation and advancement, and top leaders of all entities should take charge personally. Also, He required that the program should achieve the implementation result of the training system of Yuchai Machinery evaluated with quantitative indicators.
Yan hoped that the training system building of Yuchai Machinery should keep ahead, set a good example and be popularized in the whole group.
Wu delivered a mobilizing speech on the training system building program. He said, the competitiveness of Yuchai Machinery is reflected in two dimensions: one is SQCDD's comprehensive competitiveness and the other is "four forces" (marketing force, commodity force, manufacturing force and system force). After competitiveness is segmented, Yuchai is obviously behind model enterprises whether in basic database establishment or in training system. Particularly, lack of advanced concepts, tools and methods during lean manufacturing needs to be supported by the training system. As a long-term program, "Excellence Action-Training System Building Program" will achieve a periodic objective in three years and will be advanced in a rolling manner in the future.
At the conference, Wu Qiwei presented a flag imprinted with "Excellence Action--Yuchai Training System Building Program" to the program advancement group.
