Yuchai's administrative party signs collective contract & female worker collective contract (2014-2017) with worker party

On August 14, Yuchai Group held the signing ceremony of the collective contracts. At the ceremony, the labor party and the administrative party signed the collective contract and the female worker collective contract from 2014 to 2017. On behalf of the administrative party of Yuchai Group and the administrative party of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery), Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group and Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery signed the Collective Contract and the Female Workers Collective Contract with Li Chengjie, chairman of the Labor Union of Yuchai Group representing the worker party of Yuchai Group and Yuchai Machinery.

According to sources, the Labor Union of Yuchai Group has made corresponding changes and supplements to the original collective contract and female worker collective contract of Yuchai Group and Yuchai Machinery, drafted the new collective contract and female worker collective contract, extensively solicited opinions of relevant functional departments, and formed new contract texts upon discussion and adoption by the workers' congress group, and submitted the texts to the Yulin Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security for examination and approval.

The new collective contract and female worker collective contract largely followed the content of the old contracts, and were revised according to the new regulations on the protection of workers' rights and interests. The new contracts modified the provisions of the Special Regulations on Labor Protection of Female Workers promulgated by the State Council, increasing female workers' maternity leave from 90 days to 98 days. Besides, to improve female workers' quality, the female worker collective contract strengthened the protection of female workers' right and interest of training and learning, increasing the coverage of female worker trainings from 40 percent to 80 percent and the coverage of job trainings from 20 percent to 80 percent, far above the national standards.

According to Gu, signing the contracts will better protect workers' lawful rights and interests, enhance workers' labor enthusiasm and creativity and be of great significance to enhancing workers' awareness of corporate ownership, establishing harmonious and stable corporate labor relations and promoting the healthy and stable development of the enterprise. He hoped that all subsidiaries would attach great importance to the performance of the contracts, honor their commitments and practically safeguard workers' interests, and required that the administrative party and the worker party should work together to create a favorable working atmosphere and environment, endeavor to create a favorable situation of "concerted effort, strong vigor and calmness" to achieve the objective of the group's "second startup", make concerted efforts to fulfill corporate business targets, and work hard to promote corporate development.
