On October 24, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery) and the China Academy of Science & Technology (CAM) held the signing ceremony of a strategic cooperation agreement at Power Building. At the ceremony, Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Machinery and Li Xinya, president of CAM inaugurated the Yuchai Rapid Manufacturing Base of the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Forming Technologies and Equipment, opening a new chapter of cooperation between the two sides.

Liang Qingyan, vice general manager of Yuchai Machinery and Shan Zhongde, vice president of CAM signed the agreement on behalf of respective sides. Under this agreement, the two sides will cooperate in a wide range of fields such as R & D, base construction, talent training, international exchange and achievement popularization.

According to sources, as a large-sized central technological enterprise group directly supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, CAM boasts tremendous technical strength, with its research findings and patents widely applied in key industrial fields of the national economy such as machinery manufacturing, automobile, aerospace, environmental protection, energy, transportation, information industry, metallurgy, chemical and architecture. As a leading engine manufacturer, Yuchai Machinery has cooperated with CAM in major projects such as alloy casting technology development, and key technology and equipment of large digital non-mold casting and precise forming, and yielded fruitful results.

The base is the first of its kind in southern China jointly built by Yuchai Machinery and CAM. Based on base construction, by virtue of CAM's advantage in talent and technology, Yuchai will deepen the two sides' cooperation and exchange in new technologies, processes and methods of equipment manufacturing, thus improving and expanding its advantage in digital forming technology, advanced forming process and advanced forming equipment, expanding the industrialization of its rapid manufacturing and further consolidating its industrial competitiveness.

CAM has outstanding R & D talents, a sound R & D system and strong innovative ability, Yan said, expecting to break the conservative ideology of some leading cadres of Yuchai and promote Yuchai's development through system and strategy innovation.

Li expected the two sides to carry out all-round cooperation in fields such as basic process, non-standard equipment and plant design and tackle key problems from the national level after signing the strategic cooperation agreement, so as to jointly resolve the enterprise's problems and promote regional economic development.

At the ceremony, Liang introduced the situation of cooperation and the two sides' future demands; and Shan introduced the situation of CAM and fields for future cooperation.
