Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YMP) has recently been accredited as 2014 Guangdong's High-tech Enterprise to be ranked among provincial high-tech enterprises.

YCMP has persistently improved its research management system according to the standards of high-tech enterprises, and explicitly stipulated new product R & D, research setting, post setting, technological project assessment setting and research fund management. Since going into operation in 2011, the company has obtained 16 national patents including two patents for invention, and undertaken a lot of provincial and municipal projects such as "Major Project Supported by Zhuhai's Special Fund for Strategic Emerging Industries", "Projects Supported by Guangdong's Special Fund for Government-Bank-Enterprise Cooperation in Strategic Emerging Industries", "Project under 2012 Guangxi Research and Technology Development Program", "Zhuhai's Technical Renovation Project" and "Guangdong's Enterprise-University-Institute Project".
