Handover and Acceptance of Main Engine for the World's Largest Dual-fuel Ro-ro Ship in Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YCMP)

On September 11, YCMP successfully handed over a 7RT-flex50DF low-speed dual-fuel engine for acceptance.

The engine will be assembled on the world's largest dual-fuel series 5800m lane ro-ro ship undertaken by CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering Pte Ltd (CIMC Raffles). The ship is of the mirror image design with double engines and propellers, conforming to the 1A Super ice class. Its owner is Wallenius SOL, the Swedish shipping giant and the world's largest ro-ro ship owner.

YCMP made a full preparation for the handover and acceptance. The main engine was running smoothly and stably in various tests, especially in the process of switching between fuel and gas. All its indicators such as oil consumption, emission and vibration under different fuel modes met the design and specification requirements. And it was highly praised by representatives of shipowners, CIMC Raffles and LR Classification Society.

This successful handover & acceptance is another demonstration of reliable manufacturing technology and high standard quality of YCMP's dual-fuel engine. Previously, YCMP has successfully delivered 9 RT-flex50DF series engines, and they were installed in LNG ships, chemical ships and container ships.
