A few days ago, Yuchai YCK08 China VI engine successfully completed
1,460 hours of emission durability test and emission certification in
Tianjin (China) Automobile Technology and Research Center, becoming the
first China VI heavy-duty diesel engine to complete all type inspection
items, marking the successful completion of YCK08 emission announcement
certification.
A year ago, YCK08 successfully passed the most
stringent national China VIb certification, becoming the first
heavy-duty diesel engine passing China VI verification and obtaining the
qualification of environmental protection information publicity. As
required, the engine still needs to go through the emission durability
test, which has to be completed within one year after the qualification
of environmental protection information publicity is obtained.
As
one item of the emission announcement certification type inspection,
the main purpose of emission durability test is to determine the
deterioration coefficient of the engine aftertreatment system through
test verification, so as to ensure that the emission durability meets
the requirements of China VI emission regulations. Therefore, Yuchai
started the bench durability test in early June this year after a series
of preparatory work including engine technical status issue, prototype
production, engine performance emission confirmation, and emission test
verification before the durability test.
