The National Work Conference on Machinery Industry Brand Strategy Advancement has recently taken place in Beijing. The conference released a list of 101 China machinery industry advanced brands in 2012. Yuchai's YC6L (6A/6J/6LN/6JN) diesel engine series made the list.

Yuchai's diesel engine project specific to heavy-duty commercial vehicles is a key project independently developed by Yuchai. The project has won five patents for invention and 37 utility model patents. Among these patents, the patent for "four-valve diesel cylinder cover unloading slot" has broken foreign technical blockage by foreign engine manufacturers. YC6L and YC6J representing the project has won honors such as Guangxi special award for science and technology contribution, Guangxi second prize for progress in science and technology and National second prize for progress in machinery science and technology. This time, Yuchai's YC6L (6A/6J/6LN/6JN) diesel engine series has been honored as a China machinery industry advanced brand, showing the conference's full recognition of the great influence of advanced and innovative YC6L series in the diesel engine manufacturing industry and outstanding performance in sharpening the international competitiveness of similar products.
