On May 29, the inaugural ceremony of the Yuchai Science & Technology Association (YSTA) and the Yuchai Technician Association (YTA) took place at the Yuchai Culture Center. Present were Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and honorary vice president of YSTA; Liang Ping, chairman of the Labor Union of Yuchai Group and honorary vice president of YSTA and Chen Jinyuan, president of YSTA and president of YTA.

At the ceremony, Wu Qiwei and Chen Jinyuan inaugurated YSTA and YTA. All attendees witnessed the moment of milestone significance. Liang delivered a speech, saying the group has officially mixed Yuchai's technological talents and skill talents according to its latest management system to facilitate complementarity and combination, thus producing the effect of "1+12". She hoped their staff would work closely and face difficulties together to live up to the expectations of the corporate leaders.

Just the day before, the 2nd Congress of YSTA took place at the meeting room on the third floor of Power Building. 135 delegates from all subsidiaries earnestly performed the duty of electing the new leading body and council of YSTA. At the congress, the council members adopted the resolution by unanimity to elect Chen as president and four including Lu Haidong as vice president, and elect the secretary general, deputy secretaries general and office director.

Towards the end of the congress, Ning Xingyong delivered a closing speech. He said, Yuchai's key product-engine is rich in technology content. To sharpen Yuchai's competitiveness, a high-caliber technological team must be built, thus YSTA-YTA cooperation is well worth expectation. The corporate leaders attach great importance to technological talents and endeavor to create better working environment and development environment for technological talents. This year, Yuchai will enhance the incentive mechanism. Hopefully, the new YSTA will make full use of the favorable environments provided by the company to overcome difficulties to develop into a distinctive, initiative and creative team.
