On May 30, the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) unveiled China's Top 100 Machinery Manufacturers and Top 30 Automakers in 2012, presenting awards on the spot. As a result, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd. ranked 9th among China's Top 100 Machinery Manufacturers and 1st among Guangxi's enterprises.

Facing the severe and complex external market situation in 2012, Yuchai actively coped with various changes and tests, kept deepening industrial distribution, achieved remarkable effects in diversified operations, and registered sales revenues of 41.573 billion yuan. The core engine sector contributed sales of 674,600 units, continuing its lead in the industry and increasing its market share by 3 percent. It constantly improved its capacity for independent innovation, making smooth progress in the development of new products including low-speed diesel engines and large-power medium-speed engines, and winning 344 patents. It released the brand strategy plan with Yuchai's brand value topping 10 billion yuan for the first time. Also, it steadily advanced lean manufacturing projects, effectively improved operation management and boosted core competitiveness.

The information release of Chinas Top 100 Machinery Manufacturers and Top 30 Automakers has taken place annually for nine years in a row. Objectively reflecting the efforts of Chinese equipment manufacturers to keep sharpening their comprehensive competitiveness during growth, the event has become increasingly influential and played an increasingly significant role in driving industrial development.
