Two YC6B engines have recently been installed successfully on a cruise liner in Guizhou's Gaobei Lake tourist spot.
Two YC6B engines for Gaobei II to be installed
Located at the beautiful Miaoling National Geopark in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, with a 3.6-kilometer main channel, the Gaobei Lake is an artificial lake newly developed by the prefecture in recent years with the aim of boosting local tourism. According to sources, with a length of 25 meters and 80 seats, powered by two YC6B engines, "Gaobei II" under construction is the second cruise liner fabricated with a fund raised from Gaobei Village. After the engines are installed and commissioned, the ship will be put to use as one of the main forces for future passenger transport in the scenic spot.
"Gaobei I" similarly powered by YC6B engine was launched for trials in 2012. According to the ship owner, compared to other cruise liners powered by diesel engines of other brands in the scenic spot, "Gaobei I" is more dynamic, speedier and more fuel-conserving with stronger performance.
