On August 6, the 6th Meeting of the 4th Council of the China Association of Machinery Manufacturing Technology (CAMMT) was held in Yuchai. Yuchai attended the meeting as an executive council member. Liang Qingyan, vice general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., was elected vice chairman of CAMMT's 4th Council.

As a machinery manufacturer with a history of 62 years, Yuchai has stuck to innovation, kept ahead in casting and machining processes and technologies at home, made a lot of outstanding achievements in process innovation and made remarkable contributions to the development of the enterprise and the industry. In 2012, Yuchai's three process achievements won China Machinery Manufacturing Process Achievement Award. Among these achievements: "Reverse Deformation of Cylinder Cover of Multi-cylinder Single-cover Engine in Casting" won the first prize, "Technology of Copper-sheathed Press Installation of Cylinder Cover Nozzle" won the second prize and "Mold Repair with Nickel-based Self-fluxed Powder" won the third prize.

Referring to reason for holding the meeting in Yuchai, Wang Xifeng, council chairman of CAMMT, said Yuchai is a Chinese leading machinery manufacturer as well as an industrial model for process innovation, most members of the association hoped to take the opportunity to visit Yuchai and learn some advanced processes.

"This is my first visit to Yuchai, I knew little about Yuchai's history before, but I heard of Yuchai's achievements in technical innovation and process innovation earlier. Yuchai's outstanding achievements in energy conservation and environmental protection must be closely related to its great innovation efforts. Today is the first day of my visit and I believe Yuchai will give me more surprise and benefit me more in the following days.

Lu Yansun, former chief engineer of the Ministry of Machine Building Industry and former vice minister of machine building industry, was present.
