With the successive launch of Yuchai's foundry center project and new product trial-manufacturing project in recent years, the introduction of new processes has boosted Yuchai's manufacturing process level. On August 7, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery) concluded a strategic cooperation agreement with the Zhengzhou Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (ZRIME) in a bid to raise enterprise's manufacturing process level and conquer more core technologies.

Liang Qingyan, vice general manager of Yuchai Machinery and Wei Jianjun, deputy director of ZRIME signed the agreement on behalf of respective sides. Present at the signing ceremony were Lu Yansun, former chief engineer of the Ministry of Machine Building Industry, former vice minister of machine building industry and honorary council chairman of the China Association of Machinery Manufacturing Technology (CAMMT); Wang Xifeng, council chairman of CAMMT and Ning Xingyong, Party secretary of Yuchai Machinery.

Lu expected much of the cooperation between Yuchai and ZRIME. He hoped that two sides would deepen cooperation in manufacturing difficulties and core manufacturing technologies, and push forward substantial progress in technical fields like 3D printing application and vibration, thus boosting China's manufacturing level and building a model for China's high-end equipment manufacturing.

ZRIME is an entity in charge of industries like gear transmission, mechanical strength and vibration, new brazed materials and standard chemical samples in China. It has successfully resolved core technical difficulties in major projects like Three Gorges Project, Gezhouba Water Control Project and maritime engineering. Through the cooperation, Yuchai and ZRIME will develop new technical fields for engine manufacturing processes.

Subsequently, Lu led a delegation to visit Yuchai's foundry center and trial-manufacturing workshop, finding out the situation of Yuchai's new process application.
