On August 27, "2013 Guangxi Entrepreneur Day" took place in Nanning under the theme of "Building a moderately prosperous society in pace with the country, mission and responsibility of enterprises and entrepreneurs". The conference was organized by the Industry and Information Technology Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Guangxi Confederation of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs. At the conference, Yuchai Group was listed among "2012 Guangxi's Top 10 Enterprises" and "2013 Guangxi's Top 100 Enterprises", and Chairman Yan Ping among "2012 Guangxi's Top 10 Entrepreneurs".

In the morning, Chen Wu, chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, met Guangxi's entrepreneur representatives present, thanking them for their outstanding contributions to enterprise growth and Guangxi's economic and social development, encouraging them to seize opportunities, reform and innovate, actively adjust to market changes, keep improving their level and bring their talent into full play on a broader stage to make new greater contributions to building Guangxi into a moderately prosperous society in an all-rounder manner and building a new strategic fulcrum in the opening and development of southwest and central south China. He required that governments at all levels in Guangxi should further change government functions and work styles, increase administrative efficiency, and keep perfecting and releasing policy measures for supporting corporate development to create better environment and provide better services for development

The conference awarded the outstanding enterprises and entrepreneurs in 2012, and released the list of 2013 Guangxi's Top 100 Enterprises. Yan Ping, chairman of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd.; Feng Xiaohua, chairman of Guangxi Yangpu Nanhua Sugar Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Dai Yi, general manager of Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group Co., Ltd. delivered keynote speeches as enterprise representatives.

At the conference, Yan delivered an impressive speech entitled "Thought on Development Strategies of Guangxi's Industrial Enterprises". Yan outlined key existing advantages and disadvantages of Guangxi's industrial enterprises, making proposals from the perspectives of government and enterprise: first, the government should accelerate integration, intensify support, bring its advantage into play and enhance supporting services, including implementing large projects, expanding small projects and supporting micro projects in a focused manner, intensifying industrial restructuring, establishing relevant industrial groups, intensifying government investment promotion service and taking the advantage of China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone to strengthen machinery manufacturing. Second, enterprises should conduct specialized and refined operation with a focus on markets to grow stronger. Efforts should be made to take the opportunity of the industrial development conference held by the Party Committee and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to conduct active planning and develop advanced core technologies to build Yuchai into a modern enterprise.
