On October 12, the commencement and cornerstone laying ceremony of Beiben Yuchai engine project took place at Baotou High-end Equipment Park.

According to sources, with a total investment of 1.51 billion yuan and a planned area of 460 mu, the project was jointly initiated by Baotou Beifang Chuangye Co., Ltd. under Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group, Beiben Trucks Group, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and Y & C Engine Co., Ltd. With a planned annual output of 100,000 diesel and gas engines for vehicles, the project involves three phases. With an investment of 600 million yuan, Phase 1 will turn out 70,000 units annually, Phase 2 and 3 will be launched according to market situation. At full capacity, the project will generate an annual output value of 7 billion yuan.

The settlement of the project is not only the result of advantage complementation and resource sharing among Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group, Beiben Trucks Group and Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., but also an embodiment of implementing the "8337" strategy of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It will become a new highlight of the industrial development of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Baotou City.
