Yuchai Holds Overseas Anti-corruption Act Training

To enhance cadres' and staff's concept of clean practice, on November 18, Yuchai held the overseas anti-corruption act training. Senior executives like Wu Qiwei, Ning Xingyong, Zhong Yuwei and Liang Qingyan, as well as over 100 cadres and key employees from entities like the Sales Company, the Purchase Department and Plant Engine 1 attended the training.

China Yuchai International Limited (CYI) is a company listed in the USA, and any company listed in the USA must abide by US laws and regulations. Yuchai is a manufacturer and manufacturing is at higher risk of violation. Since 2012, CYI has invited professional auditors of Ernst & Young China Team annually to Yuchai Yulin headquarters to train in overseas anti-corruption laws and regulations.

Based on policies for accounting, bookkeeping and content control, Ernest & Young's auditor Ding Xiaoying emphasized on the provisions of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and related regulations applicable to enterprises and individuals, as well as notes for purchase, sales and expense reimbursement in manufacturing.

Following the training, to enhance training effects, Ding cited actual cases with focus on matters of internal control in high-risk fields like presentation, donation and cooperation with intermediaries, raising questions to the trainees, provoking heated discussions among and thoughts of the trainees including senior executives. She also handed out anti-corruption questionnaires to the trainees.

Ye Bin, deputy Party secretary and discipline secretary of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., said, the training has truly achieved the effect of interpreting laws by cases, enhanced our understanding of the importance of laws and regulations, helped us better evade legal risks in work and promoted our anti-corruption work. He hoped that leading cadres at all levels should set good examples, conduct incorruptibly and abide by laws; that Party organizations at all levels should earnestly publicize and implement the training content and build incorruptible cadre and staff teams; and that all entities should work out rules and regulations, strengthen supervision and inspection to effectively prevent corruption and promote the healthy development of enterprises.
