According to recent resources from the Industry and Information Technology Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) has stood out of 100 key enterprises for autonomous region R & D center cultivation in 2012 to be listed among 68 autonomous region R & D centers newly accredited in 2013. Yulin has only four enterprises accredited.

As an enterprise for "autonomous region R & D center" cultivation, YHI has always valued product R & D, technical innovation, R & D investment and R & D center capacity building, technical talent introduction and training, technological achievement declaration and patent application. Also, it has taken an active part in national and industrial standard discussions, provided technical support for the development of Guangxi's relevant industries and perfectly accomplished the mission of R & D center construction.
