On December 18, Y & C Engine Co., Ltd. (Y & C Engine) held the launch ceremony for DPCI ignition natural gas engine and yacht-specific YC6K12 engine. Both were independently developed by Y & C Engine to meet demands of different segments.

Li Yinhui, chairman and general manager of C&C Trucks and chairman of Y & C Engine and Liang Heping, vice chairman and general manager of Y & C Engine were present at the ceremony and unveiled the new engines. Chen Yiyun, assistant to general manager of Y & C Engine, presided over the launch ceremony in the presence of all the staff of Y & C Engine.
At the launch conference, Li delivered an inspiring speech, speaking highly of the achievements of the Y & C team over the year. He said, Y & C Engine's products have strong market performance and match C&C trucks. YC6K series are applicable to more segments and outshine its peers in the general machinery field.
As of the day of the launch ceremony, Y & C Engine had fulfilled the annual sales target with total sales of over 5,000 engines, thus achieving the first objective of "multiplication" as scheduled. In light of actualities, the company focuses on segments and adheres to independent innovation. The extended development of YC6K12 has provided strong support for the company to develop healthily and expand the market.
DPCI is an innovative technology developed by Y & C Engine and Tsinghua University, which takes a scientific and advanced control strategy. According to the project manager, DPCI uses diesel for high-energy ignition, features full electronic control and introduces throttle and universal exhaust gas oxygen control to further increase engines' thermal efficiency and the replacement ratio of natural gas. Based on features like wide diesel ignition, fast flame propagation and high reliability of the diesel supply system, the product has achieved breakthrough in power, economy and reliability compared to traditional natural gas engines, and has been up to Europe VI emission standard. Also, customers can toggle between diesel mode and DPCI mode in light of actualities.
Y & C Engine based R & D on actual applications. It refitted engines on SHACMAN Delonghi dumpers and put them into commercial operation in April 2012. The engine has been faultless to date. A coal dumper saves around 1 yuan per kilometer (some 1.3 yuan per kilometer in winter) on average, with an average replacement ratio of 70 percent.
Full electronic control yacht engine has been a domestic gap. 6K yacht engine independently developed by Y & C Engine is a full electronic control yacht engine up to national III emission standard. The engine contributed 15 patents. Instructed by Director Shangangliangyi, the project team fully absorbed Yamaha's experience in marine engine manufacturing and pursued high quality.
