Engine qualification certificates are just like engines' "identity cards". To make them neater in appearance, facilitate query and enhance anti-counterfeiting, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai Machinery) has decided to use new engine qualification certificates from January 1, next year.

As ex-factory certificates of engines (generating sets/prototypes), engine qualification certificates are also one of major certificates for follow-up service for engines after they are delivered. Despite several revisions, the original qualification certificates contain limited information like engine model, number, inspection worker number and date of manufacture, use no anti-counterfeit technology and are inconvenient in terms of management and query.

Planned by the relevant departments of Yuchai Machinery, the Quality Department has recently completed the design of new-generation qualification certificates. They use digital anti-counterfeit technology, and include information such as engine model, engine number, state machinery code, printing time and batch number in 2D code, to make the appearance neater and facilitate query.

According to sources, the new engine qualification certificates will be used on all products manufactured by the headquarters of Yuchai Machinery, as well as engines manufactured by companies like Xiamen Yuchai Engine Co., Ltd. and CSR Yuchai Sichuan Engine Co., Ltd.
