On January 7, 2014, Yuchai's technicians and engineers ushered in the annual event--2013 Exhibition on New Achievements of Yuchai's Technicians and Engineers. The exhibition which took place at Yuchai's practical training center demonstrated the innovative achievements of Yuchai's technicians and engineers in 2013, showing Yuchai's great attention to building a creative labor group.

Leaders like Yan Ping viewed the technicians' innovative achievements

Corporate leaders like Yan Ping, Gu Tangsheng, Wu Qiwei and Ning Xingyong attended the activity. Among over 500 participants were technicians, engineers and worker representatives from Yuchai's subsidiaries.

The exhibition was the first "show" of technicians and engineers after the Yuchai Technician Association and Yuchai Science & Technology Association were unified for management. At the exhibition, Yan earnestly viewed the engineers and technicians' innovative achievements, hearing their reports.

At the zone for engineers' innovative achievements, the project of "high-efficiency automatic unattended experimental development" was unanimously praised by the visitors. According to Tian Chong, an engineer with the Yuchai R & D Center (YRDC), the project is an all-new high-efficiency experimental system combining automation and network communication technologies, remote control technology with design of experiment (DOE) and numerical optimization, which was independently developed by YRDC and is the first of its kind in China. Compared to traditional experiments, the experimental efficiency of the high-efficiency automatic unattended experimental system can increase more than three times and enormously shorten R & D periods.

At the zone for technicians' innovative achievements, Li You, a fitter from the Tools Manufacturing Plant of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., showed the sample pieces made by him. From accurate measurement to accurate boring, he made ever sample pieces delicate. Despite having just worked as a fitter for one year, he has sharpened his skills through hard study. Also, he won the first prize of 2013 Yuchai 1st Migrant Workers Vocational Skills Competition. He said, "Though fitters' job is just filling and fitting, but it is not simple, because it can train one's ability to think about and resolve problems, thereby creating more innovative work methods."

After visiting the exhibition, Yan delivered a soul-stirring speech. He said, attending the annual innovative achievement exhibition is what delights me most. After the unified management of the two associations, under the leadership of Chen Jinyuan, with the close attention of the business bodies of Yuchai Group and Yuchai Machinery, with the strong support of departments like the labor union, the exhibition has got better and better, and Yuchai's technician and engineer teams have become larger and larger, I am happy to see that.

Yan noted, so many achievements show the great love of our technicians and engineers for the enterprise as well as their innovative spirit. This is exactly the brightest spot of our industrial workers.

Yan stressed that leading cadres should personally be in charge of innovation and industrial worker team building. To operate successfully, an enterprise must have an outstanding worker team and a fine culture. Leading cadres at all levels should love these workers from deep inside, give play to their intelligence and wisdom in creative labor, make workers lead a brilliant life and not cause losses to honest people. Next, we will plan relevant incentive measures, increase hardware investment, continue sending outstanding experts to domestic and overseas enterprises for studies, and attach great importance to technician and engineer team building as always.
