On January 31, 2012, led by Hu Jian, pulp and paper engineering professor of South China University of Technology (SCUT) was invited to Yuchai Huayuan Machinery (Yulin) Co., Ltd. for an exchange with the companys technical, process and sales staff on the principle of air filtration and key technology of heavy-load air filtration.

From opportunities and challenges in the air cleaner market, in a simple manner, Hu explained the fundamental principle of air filtration and how to enhance the filtration performance of Huayuans products in aspects of filtration principle, material application and runner design, and made precious guiding suggestions on building industrial alliances for products such as filter materials, air cleaners and engines and sharpening corporate market competitiveness.

Zhang Wen, chairman of Huayuan, warmly welcomed Hu, expressed the wish to further deepen cooperation with SCUT through the mechanism of production, teaching and research, and required the companys technical, process and sales staff to learn and understand the principle and key technology of air filtration and develop new ideas for product design to further enhance filtration performance.
