Recently, the Science & Technology Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Finance Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Office, SAT and Local Taxation Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region jointly issued a document, accrediting 29 enterprises including Yuchai Huayuan Machinery (Yulin) Co., Ltd. as Guangxis first group of high-tech enterprises in 2011.  

In sci-tech achievement transformation and R & D management, Huayuan has persisted in independent innovation orientation and industrial policy orientation and kept improving its capacity for independent technical innovation. In R & D, Huayuan undertook 46 autonomous region, municipal and corporate independent R & D projects from 2008 to 2010, thus overcoming technical difficulties of Chinas machinery oil, diesel oil and air filters in such aspects as material choice and product structure design, and solving major environmental problems of Chinas engines up to National III standards or above. Huayuan invested a total of 18.78 million yuan in R & D from 2008 to 2010; in 2010, high-tech products contributed revenues of 211.04 million yuan, accounting for 85% of the companys sales revenues in the year.   

During sci-tech achievement transformation, projects undertaken by Huayuan, including Application of Aviation Fluid Filtration and Particle Separation Technology in Automotive Engine Filters and Technological R & D of Automotive Engine Filters, won awards such as the third prize of Guangxi for progress in science and technology in 2011, the second prize of Yulin for progress in science and technology and the Golden Bridge Award of China Technology Market Association, and the corporate test center was accredited as a corporate technical center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yulin.
