Recently, the Administrative Examination and Approval Center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region held a joint examination and approval conference on preliminary work of Guangxis major projects in 2012. As a result, the parts manufacturing center project of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) was approved as the only project sent by Yulin.

With a total investment of 990 million yuan, located in the southeast of the extension of Danan Road in Yuchai Industry Park, the project is proposed to acquire 909 mu of new land, build plant buildings and auxiliary facilities with a total area of some 250,000 square meters, and will form an annual production capacity of 1.4 million pieces of crankshafts for light, medium & heavy-duty trucks and passenger vehicles, 40,000 tons of bodies and covers of heavy marine engines, as well as 1.6 million pieces of stamping parts, welding parts, engineering parts and sealing parts. The Industry and Information Technology Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GIITC) attached great importance the project, considered the project to be fully accordant with Guangxis policies for 100-billion-yuan industries, and approved it the same day.
